A Little Entrance Nook

We have the perfect little nook behind our front door. It would be too easy to turn it into a messy catch-all for mail, keys, coats, etc. as we are coming in the door, but I'd really like to turn it into something both pretty and functional. I found this on katie-d-i-d.blogspot.com (how perfect!!) and it is now my inspiration for that space.

Our walls in that area are a sunny yellow and we have this awesome, country-vintage style hutch that H's mom gave us that they no longer wanted. I see a refinishing project in the near future...
